This week I started my new job (so now I have two!). I make the desserts in a restaurant on a camp site near where I live, and I am enjoying it there, although it is like being in a sauna it's soooo hot!
This is the shirt I wear, and I wear an apron on top: (all black, my parents say it's like I'm going to a funeral, but they also say I look slim in black so it's not entirely a bad thing and plus I like black clothing.)
My poor arm, the photo doesn't even show the damage that much:
Apart from the day with my friends where we ate BBQ stuff and junk basically, I've been doing well with eating healthy and working out! (determined to go back to college fit)
This was an extra yummy smoothie me and my mum threw together:
Fresh Pineapple
Fresh ripe Mango
Coconut shreds
Crushed Ice
I just love experimenting with them to be honest, if any of you have any favourite smoothie recipes I would love to try them!
Hope everyone had a lovely week, lets hope the sun comes back soon, and enjoy your weekend!
Whether in black or not, you are slim and healthy. I always thought I could be slimmer or fitter and never appreciated the size I was. Now I look back and think, "Hey! I looked good. Why was I listening to a nay-saying society that told me otherwise." Your smoothie looks delicious. Here's Mine
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of you - so petite:) I like the looks of that smoothie -- love those.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Paulita you are slim and healthy. I take pictures of my bruises too. Smoothie looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteThank you, just little comments like that really boost my confidence, I am working on getting more toned, that's my aim anyway, but I am doing it the healthy way rather than starving myself, it's not for society, this is for me. :)
ReplyDeleteNow I am eager to blend up some smoothies! Thanks for sharing....and here's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT POST
ReplyDeleteMmmm nothing like a cold smoothie in this heat! tell your friends to calm down during the next food fight ... no bruising allowed!
ReplyDeleteOMG on the bruises!!!! Ouch. Was it worth it?
ReplyDeleteI'd love it if you would stop by and come see my pic for today.
That arm looks so painful! Smoothy looks great though! :) My favorite is blueberries, strawberries and a little bit of orange juice. That's mostly because I have had a freezer full of those berries for most of the year, but I used up the last of the strawberries last month. We've been having a lot of blueberry desserts lately to finish those off.
ReplyDeleteyumm, now I want a smoothie! Thanks for sharing your pictures, and maybe whip-cream fights aren't the best idea ever....just a thought... :) Book Savvy Babe
ReplyDeleteOuch. Who would have thought a whipped creme fight could lead to that kind of bruising! The smoothies sound good. I just eat the fruit and never bother to blend it up.
ReplyDeleteThe smoothies sound good. I keep saying I'll have a go and experiment with some, but I always end up eating fresh fruit. I'm trying to lose weight, so smoothies might make a nice change. Hope youe arm is better by the way.
ReplyDeleteThe smoothie looks great for a warm day!
ReplyDeleteThose are some pretty impressive bruises! Are you sure you were with friends? and what does the other fellow look like?? Smoothie sounds delish! Thanks for sharing. Here's my photo:http://www.barbarathehealthynut.blogspot.com/
